This website includes resources for sustainability education opportunities across the University of Minnesota — Twin Cities. This includes information on the Sustainability Studies Minor at the undergraduate level, programs and other initiatives at the graduate level, and efforts by faculty to make sustainability learning more coherent and connected within and across colleges.  This site also supports the University-wide Sustainability Education Network. The programs, initiatives, and events highlighted on this page arise from no single college, school, institute, or center at the University. The purpose instead is to promote awareness and interconnection between the system of sustainability initiatives at the University, with the hope of building a stronger student and faculty community that spans academic units.

The Sustainability Education website is administered by the University of Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment.

The University of Minnesota offers sustainability courses in most of its colleges and campuses around the state. These courses encompass biophysical sciences, social sciences, humanities, arts, design, engineering, business, and health. The Sustainability Studies minor is one of several interdisciplinary programs through which such diverse courses come together.
