Green Collar Jobs Board – is an online community where you can connect with local people interested in living healthy lives on a green planet. Our community members post and discuss local green news, events, tips, information, coupons and jobs. They also find and write user-reviews on more than 30,000 green products and local businesses across the country. Check out our latest community posts and discussions, search for local, green business reviews, and find local events.

Idealist – Idealist is an interactive site where people and organizations can exchange resources and ideas, locate opportunities and supporters, and take steps toward building a world where all people can lead free and dignified lives.

Minnesota Council of Nonprofits – MCN is the statewide association of more than 2,000 member nonprofit organizations. Through its Web site, resource publications, workshops and events, cost-saving programs and advocacy, MCN continually works to inform, promote, connect and strengthen individual nonprofits and the nonprofit sector.

Minnesota Environmental Partnership – The Minnesota Environmental Partnership is a coalition of more than 80 Minnesota environmental and conservation organizations working together to protect and preserve Minnesota’s precious natural environment.

Minnesota Green Jobs – The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) is the state’s principal economic development agency, and has job listings from across the state.

Minnesota Works – MinnesotaWorks is an internet-based self-service system where member employers and job seekers can find each other. Membership is encouraged because it allows full access to all the features of the system. There is no cost for membership.

NextStep – This site has been designed to provide Minnesota Sustainable Communities Network (MnSCN) members and others with information, access to resources, opportunities for networking, and inspiration on the topic of sustainable communities. NextStep site users have the ability to post information and resources on the site as well as to access the resources and information posted on the site.

SEEK – Minnesota’s home of environmental education resources.

State of Minnesota Jobs – Official site for employment with state government. Also check out local government websites, such cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul) or counties (HennepinRamsey, etc.)

University of Minnesota Employment – The University of Minnesota’s employment site provides you with the capability to search and apply for positions that interest you, as well as manage your application for future opportunities. Check back often for work-study and student jobs relating to environment and sustainability issues. BlogWhat does a sustainability career look like? The Sustainability Education website is administered by the University of Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment.

The University of Minnesota offers sustainability courses in most of its colleges and campuses around the state. These courses encompass biophysical sciences, social sciences, humanities, arts, design, engineering, business, and health. The Sustainability Studies minor is one of several interdisciplinary programs through which such diverse courses come together.
