2. Who is eligible to apply for the IonE Leaders Program?

All University of Minnesota Undergraduate Students from all disciplinary backgrounds with a passion for the environment and experience in leadership.

3. What is the time commitment of the program?

The Leaders Program is a year long. Program participants can expect to spend roughly 4 hours a week in program workshops, preparing for mentor meetings, and completing other program requirements.

4. When does the program meet?

Program workshops and cohort meetings take place on Friday afternoons from 2-3:30 throughout Fall and Spring semesters. The Year End Event  will be on the evening of Thursday, April 10th.

5. Are the workshops and cohort meetings optional?

No, applicants admitted to the program must attend all scheduled program events. Rare exceptions can be made.

The Sustainability Education website is administered by the University of Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment.

The University of Minnesota offers sustainability courses in most of its colleges and campuses around the state. These courses encompass biophysical sciences, social sciences, humanities, arts, design, engineering, business, and health. The Sustainability Studies minor is one of several interdisciplinary programs through which such diverse courses come together.
